For the past 15 years, New Roots has trained and supported refugees with agricultural backgrounds in starting their own small farm business. Farm families spend 4 years at Juniper Gardens Training Farm in KCK where they have their own quarter acre plot and access to shared infrastructure (greenhouse, washstand, cooler, equipment & tools). Farmers received technical training, sales assistance, English classes, and support as they transition out of the program and onto their own farm site. Come meet program staff, New Roots farmers, and pick up some fresh vegetables and transplants for you home garden!
