Marie Rayma is the creator of the popular blog and YouTube channel Humblebee & Me, where her thousands of readers and viewers learn how to create everything from body butters and balms to lipsticks and lotions. Her work has appeared on GoodHousekeeping.com, WomansDay.com, and Saje.ca, and she has spoken at events across Canada and the United States. Her first book, Make It Up: The Essential Guide to DIY Makeup and Skin Care, is all about creating your own cosmetics from scratch, and was released at the end of 2016 from Running Press to excellent reviews. Rayma graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of design honours from York University & Sheridan College in Toronto, and she holds a diploma in organic skin care formulation from Formula Botanica. She lives in Calgary, Alberta, where she spends her days making messes in her studio and taking pictures of them. In her free time, Rayma loves traveling; she often hosts Humblebee & Me meetups around the world to bring her readers together for a few drinks and some DIY chat!

DIY Moisturizing Lotion Extended Workshop

Step up your DIY game and learn to formulate your own lotion from scratch! During this workshop, participants create two different batches of emulsified (oil and water) lotion, and they find out about how different oils, butters, botanical extracts, and phase sizes impact their creations. Leave with two bottles of your very own custom-made lotion and the know-how to invent your own lotions and creams from scratch at home! Note: An extra pass is required for this workshop.
