Gardening with Children in Every Season

The world needs young people to grow into passionate and environmentally literate stewards. Learning gardens are great places for children to build their knowledge and connection to the land, whether they are gardening in containers, raised beds, small farms, or schoolyards. But how can they learn about gardening all year long, even in the off-season? Kaci Rae Christopher, author of The School Garden Curriculum: An Integrated K-8 Guide for Discovering Science, Ecology, and Whole-Systems Thinking, shares techniques and approaches to create all-season gardening activities for children, adaptable for every climate. She answers your questions about garden education in your own communities and discusses how consecutive, integrated gardening activities inspire radical transformation in children's lives.
