Artist, innkeeper, gardener, and herbalist Joey Los has been studying plants and our interaction with them for more than 40 years. Introduced to foraging as a child by beloved mentors at the Missouri Botanical Garden, she’s continued her studies throughout her life. She now teaches courses in fermentation, cooking, foraging, perennial gardening, and more. She’s living the life she loves with her partner, Terry Durham, and helping others to do the same through her bed and breakfast business (Joey’s Birdhouse), her experimental perennial garden (where she grows giants), and her art studio (where she creates whimsy and magic to share).Joey will be speaking at the Texas Fair.
