Candy Thomas, regional soil health specialist for Kansas and Nebraska at the Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), provides agronomy advice to NRCS field offices regarding comprehensive nutrient management plans, cover crops for soil health, water quality resource issues, herbicide risk, erosion control for wind and water, coordinating soil health outreach, and training new employees in conservation planning and utilization of current erosion prediction models.
