Aubrey studied Environmental Education at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC. Since then, she has been working on farms and teaching farm based education in Maine, Montana, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Kauai, North Carolina and now grows veggies at Acorn community and helps run Southern Exposure Seed Exchange in Virginia. When covid hit, she began a foodscaping business in Asheville helping people grow their own food in their yards. Aubrey moved to community in October 2020 and feels passionately that if more people lived in community, the world would be a better place.

Growing Food and Saving Seeds at Acorn Community

Join Aubrey DeLone as she describes the value of her experience as part of Acorn, an egalitarian community of 20 members on a 72-acre property with a certified organic farm. The members of the community live together, grow food, and cooperatively run Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. They also distribute seeds from their farm and their many partner farms.
