Sourdough 101 sponsored by Grainmaker – June 6
Advance Registration Sold Out
Hosted by Jessica Moody
Saturday, June 6, 3 p.m. CDT (Note: The time is CENTRAL. Please plan accordingly.)
In this interactive online webinar, learn everything you need to know to get started with sourdough. You’ll learn how to make and maintain a sourdough starter, fit sourdough into a busy schedule, and cover three simple sourdough recipes — all using whole-grain flours, and we’ll even go over the basics of milling your own! Once we’re done, you’ll be ready to successfully dive into sourdough yourself.
This 90-minute webinar is an opportunity to interact with the co-author of DIY Sourdough. It’s FREE, thanks to our sponsor GrainMaker, but limited in attendance. On Friday, June 5, you’ll receive an email invitation with instructions on how to join the webinar, which is being hosted through Zoom. Note: An internet connection is required along with the Zoom app. Participants won’t have their cameras enabled, but you’ll be able to view the host and participate in the Q&A. More information on Zoom webinars can be found by clicking the link at the bottom of this description. If you’ve never participated in a Zoom meeting or webinar, we strongly recommend that you read over the tutorial before this event.
If you would like to follow along and make your own starter here is a list of ingredients and supplies you will need:
- Flour (whole wheat or whole spelt recommended)
- Filtered water
- One clean pint jar
- A small cloth for covering the jar
- A clean spoon
