Everyone understands the importance of feeding a family a healthy diet, but learning to do so while juggling work, school, and extracurricular activities can be a major challenge. This workshop is designed to help a busy family get organized with meal planning and prep, implement budget-friendly solutions, and set reasonable expectations for children when it comes to healthy foods. Participants spend the first half of the workshop building meal plans together and the second half designing an individualized plan to encourage healthier eating habits for kids. Leah Webb also leads a discussion about how to effectively talk to your children about dietary choices in order to promote a healthy relationship around food and mealtimes. The meal planning strategies are applicable for any individual, and the child feeding techniques are best suited for kids 1 to 8 years of age. Feel free to bring your favorite cookbooks or recipes to use for inspiration and ideas in building your meal plan.
